April L. Ford's work has won the Pushcart Prize, the International Book Awards for LGBTQ Fiction, and the SFWP Literary Awards for fiction, and has appeared in literary journals across North America and Europe. Before returning to Montreal, April taught creative writing at the
State University of New York at Oneonta and held writing residencies at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and Ucross Foundation. She now teaches in high school programs adapted for students with autism, intellectual disabilities, and behavioral challenges.
