Lisa Pasold grew up in Tio’tia:ke/Montréal and has spent several decades living in Paris and in Bulbancha/New Orleans. She has published 6 books. Her 2012 poetic narrative, Any Bright Horse, was shortlisted for the Governor General’s Award. To develop her work, she writes a poem every day. The resulting poems have appeared in magazines such as Geist, The Los Angeles Review, Fence, and New American Writing.

She is also a journalist and storyteller. Her favourite cocktail is the French 75.
